Why is it that my Memory usage is so high while sitting idle at the desktop?

My memory usage is above 70% but i dont understand why. The highest process is 81mb and i have 8gb of Ram.

Try disabling Skype at startup. I once had a similar problem. Turned out Skype wasn't starting right and caused a memory leak.

If you like to just talk to people without video i recommend using Discord or Teamspeak. Discord you can have your own servers for free and i can help you in setting that up if you'd like.

Also run msconfig.exe and you can change what starts up when your computer is starting up. Be sure to research what some of the stuff does before you disable random things.
