Building a small computer case

Hi there,

I have been looking to build my own case that would suit my needs. The thing is that I have 16 gauge steel (it's like 1,4 to 1,5mm) sheets and I was wondering if this would be too tough for the case... I am trying to build a small case, approximately 12'' x 12'' x 8''.

Should I go with what I have or buy 2mm alluminium sheets, which I really don't have the money to buy this now?

only if you are really good in constructing things than you should do it otherwise it will be a failure

Yes, I do have tools to work with both aluminium and steel and I have worked with steel in the past for various projects... Now, how much of a weight difference woul'd there be between 1.5mm steel and 2mm aluminium?
