Can I transfer a backup HDD to new build without uninstall?

So I've recently build my first ever pc, (and it's fricking awesome :D). I've installed a Boot SSD and a 1TB HDD but I want to transfer my 2TB HDD from my old pc to this one. It has all my clips for my youtube channel and various other items. (these aren't backed up.)

I was wandering if I can unplug the sata and power cable and just stick it inside my new build without losing any data? Or would the HDD essentially get formatted and I lose all the data.... 1.4TB's of stuff is a lot to lose

Many thanks for reading the post and to those who reply,

It's not a case of individual files or applications getting 'deleted', but rather the whole drive.
I did almost exactly this recently.
2 internal drives...a 2TB and a 3TB, from a Win 8.1 PC over to a Win 10 PC. But they 'just worked'.

The games...

It's just a bunch of files on this drive? If so, it should move it over no problem.

There may be a few games and the odd editing suite on the drive but it's mainly video files for my youtube account. What type of data would get deleted potentially?

The games and applications on that drive will need to be reinstalled. Video files will be fine.
