In the title. I wanna use my teamspeak server just to use with friends. I have it's address set to my ipv4. I'm unsure if my address is static or not. If we were to invite other people into the server such as WoW guild mates, would this endanger my network security? Nothing against the people I game with online. I'm just paranoid. lol. I'm wondering if it would be safer if I set my PC to change it's IP once a day or so, so each time we use the server, i'd give out a new address as opposed to a static address.

Mumble is better. Back to the topic. The biggest issue is griefers that may DOS you. Using your IP doesn't make you any less secure, but it does make you a bigger target. You also have to make sure you have enough stable bandwidth to support all of your users. Assume about 128Kb/s per user. If you have 8 users, that's about 1Mb/s or 16 users is 2Mb. If you only have a 2Mb connection, you'll max it out every time someone talks.

Just an update: My server doesn't work for other people anyway. Friend tried to connect and it failed. Does mumble make it easier to set up a working server?
