Hey guys, kind of having a complex issue at the moment. When I got back home after a short trip this past weekend, my computer was 100% functional and connecting to the internet. After a few minutes it disconnected and gave me a 'limited connection' notification. I think its nothing so i restart my computer, and after it turns back on, and even now, two days later, it is still giving me a limited connection to an unidentified network. I have so far:

-Done a system restore to 12/15/15, a time where none of these issues were present, no dice.

-Uninstalled Tuungle & Hamachi to see if that caused issues, no dice.

-Restart my router through power cycling and the reset button numerous times.

-Reinstalled the LAN drivers on my PC, which seem to be the intel 1217-V Ethernet Drivers, no dice.

-Thought there was possible physical damage to the onboard ethernet, so I bought a USB-to-Ethernet adapter, that is also giving me a limited connection, and I feel that thats important because it's not the onboard ethernet and its still giving me no connection.

-Used the windows diagnostic tool as a last resort, and it tells me on both the onboard and adapter ethernet that the "Ethernet doesnt have a valid IP configuration".

In all of the CMD copy/pastes I'm about to post, the ethernet cable is plugged into the adapter, 'Ethernet 2', so when it says that 'Ethernet' has its media connected, its just that I dont have it plugged into my onboard, and that its plugged into my adapter.

When I type in IPCONFIG /ALL in CMD, this is what I'm given:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600]

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /all

When I type IPCONFIG /RELEASE into CMD, it gives me this:

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /release

Windows IP Configuration

No operation can be performed on Ethernet while it has its media disconnected.

and when I type in IPCONFIG /RENEW, I get this:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600]
(c) 2013 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /renew

Windows IP Configuration

An error occurred while renewing interface Ethernet 2 : unable to contact your DCHP server. Request has timed out.
No operation can be performed on Ethernet while it has its media disconnected.

also, when I try to ping 192.168.1.1, i get a 'PING: transmit failed. General failure.' all 4 attempts.

So, as far as I'm concerned, there is either an issue with my routers ability to give a connection over ethernet, or my pc is having some sort of driver issue. Hopefully I gave enough information for you guys to be able to figure this out. I'm fairly tech literate but complex issues with internet connectivity is not my strong-suit. Thanks.
