Installed a new motherboard and cpu and it won't boot into bios at all

I accidentally scratched the motherboard with a screwdriver I was thinking that was the issue but the cpu fan is moving and led lights are working

Help please.

Unplug everything from the motherboard except for power and one stick of ram and attempt to boot into bios from there.

Oh, and the display/keyboard, obviously

Unfortunately it looks like the circuits going out from the processor to one of the memory slots/the chipset has been damage. You might be able to get it to POST if you move one of the ram sticks around to a different slot. Test it out with only one ram stick at a time and see if you get any results, though personally, I'd still RMA it if it is a RAM slot issue, since that means one of your RAM slots is permanently out of commission.

If it's a circuit that carries power or a data bus to the chipset, then you're out of luck, best just to replace the mobo.
