Hello, I'm switching from a AMD processor to an INTEL processor and the respective motherboards, my question is how do i go about putting my old hard drive in my new build? I plan on uninstalling windows from my old hard drive, and putting windows 10 on a Solid State Drive, and i will also remove all of my old drivers on my hard drive, will this allow my new computer to properly function or not? If there is more to do please leave a step by step guide on how to do so as i am a noob builder, thank you sooo much in a advanced.

Solution
Yes your old drive will function fine and you'll be able to access the data files, the programs on it won't be usable - will have to install them on the new Win10 drive

If you take that route yes, an alternative is to install your old drive as the OS drive in the new and see if it will transition through the change of mobo/CPU. I've had about 90+ percent success rate in doing so, then you have all your apps, games, etc already installed and can do an update to Win 10 losing nothing. If you want to try this route let me know
