So i posted a thread before asking how hot my R9 390 should get. I realized that its built for hot temps. For some reason, its overheating for some reason. At idle, my GPU is around 60 degrees Celsius. When in games, it rapidly goes up to 80 degrees Celsius, climbing to 90 degrees. I don't know why its doing this. I'm scared, and in MSI Afterburner I have a very good FAN Config. I let my card get very loud but it doesn't help... I haven't overclocked either. Please help!!

Solution
Actually I'm going to agree with you here ezskills because if you look at the image the hard drive bays completely block front intake that leads to the GPU.

His best option is a new case.

I have a CORSAIR 100R, 2 Corsair AF Quiet Edition fans in the front as intake, 1 Outtake fan from corsair, and here is my fan configuration:

I restarted my PC and that was idle temps.

Thats the new link, sorry about that. My cpu at idle hovers around 30- low 40's (in degrees Celsius). At load, around high 50's and 60's. My 6600k is Overclocked at 4 GHz with a CRYORIG H7. My room temperature is cold. My house has air conditioning on most of the time. My house temp is usually around 70 degrees Celsius.

What do you mean 40-45% fan speeds?

Okay, well, it seems you're going to have to replace the thermal paste on that thing, because you have a good case with good airflow (which I also know by your CPU temps) so it must be the thermal paste.

By 40-45% fan speed I mean that's how fast my fans are running to cool my card at full load down to 70C.

O-O What CPU do you have?

Yes it is. Should I put the fans on the top of my case? I fell like that would put more air towards my CPU cooler and I wouldnt have air going to my SSD and HDD.

Do you think me copying your GPU fan speeds work for me aswell? Also, do you play game at ULTRA? I dont know if that would result in hotter temps or not...

That card is made to vent heat inside his case and with a restricted air intake could be his problem hey FrostedBlaze does it over heat with your side panel off just make sure it's not a air flow problem before you start taking your card apart with the side panel off check your temps and compare the temps with the side panel on if your thermal paste is the problem your cards temp will not change

I removed the side panel. Loaded up a game at ULTRA and its climbing up into the 70's. Just reached 80. Plus, the fan is LOUD. I dont feel air coming from the intakes, so i might place them at the top of my case. Im worried that'll only give air to my cpu though... What should I do?

It sounded like an air intake problem some cases are good at cooling the cpu but not so good at cooling the GPU I'm glad you didn't take your card apart is there a way you could take your front panel of to improve air flow if you have fans you could put them at the top and see if temps change if not you might have replace your case with one that has a bottom fan or a side fan for gpu cooling because the gpu needs air flow too and if it's getting it the heat won't move from the gpu area just the cpu area
