My processor is an AMD Athlon II x2 3.0GHz and i am planning on getting a powercolor radeon r7 370 DX 4gb. My motherboard is an old one called narra5 so idk if that has an effect or not. Will it bottleneck? and if it would, should i just buy an AMD athlon x4 because i am just trying to get better gaming performance.

Possibly, though I don't have a lot of experience with that card so I'm not sure. Try looking up youtube benchmarks with your processor vs another CPU, see what GPU's they're using, and cross-reference that with your GPU's relative performance, that might give you an idea of what you're working with. You'll definitely see a performance increase with an x4 (And be able to play some games that require 4+cores to run) But I would consider a platform upgrade because the Athlon series is already pretty old, and you don't want to dump money into something you'll have to replace soon anyway.
