Seeking video files took longer than i'd like , 3 seconds to seek no matter the format/resolution, so someone recommended that i use HD Sentinel and see if i get any errors, Hard disk performance was 100%m health 16%, 456 bad sectors, but it also stated that the drive could have healed it self, but this error is showing because it reads the hard drive log, i did a surface Write test, everything came out green, is my hard drive 100% healthy?

It's a 2 TB External Toshiba HD, about 2 years old.

Hey there again, zaidrockso!

Unfortunately, it doesn't look good! :( The Reallocated Sector Count is a critical parameter that indicates the number of bad sectors on your HDD. According the results, you seem to have too many of those. I'd strongly recommend you to backup the data from that drive ASAP and make sure it's safe and sounds somewhere else. Having bad sectors means that things could only get worse, so I'd not trust any important data with that particular hard drive.

I'd also recommend you to refer to the HDD manufacturer's website or customer support to check the warranty. If it's still covered, you should be able to RMA it and get a replacement from them. If it's not, I'd definitely consider replacing it.

Hope I was...
Hey there, zaidrockso!

This seems pretty unfortunate! :( I'd definitely recommend you to backup as much of your data as you can ASAP! The external has too many bad sectors, which can't be fixed. In the best case scenario, the sectors get remapped and blocked for use.
I'd suggest you to use your HDD manufacturer's brand-specific tool to test the drive with it as well and benchmark the results. Here are some more third-party testing tools as well: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
Make sure you get a list of the SMART attributes data from the HDD and see the number of damaged sectors there.
I'd not trust the HDD with data without having it backed up in a different location/drive.

Keep me posted with the results.

Hi thank you for your help ! been running tests all day, all seem " good to me " but i'm no expert. And yes i usually have everything backed up, at the moment this hard drive is empty, and these questions and worries are " is my hard drive 100% reliable and safe to use again " Thing is, i want to add it to my drobo ( DAS Enclosure ) , and since my drobo is already having issues which i'm troubleshooting at the moment, i don't want to add something that will confuse me even more.

Test results
