Hello everybody, I am looking to save up my money for a r9 390 or a gtx 970 I want to play the latest games and future games on relatively high fps (60)1080p..so could you tell me which one is the best?

I also want to know if my old gpu a hd5800 (yes people it's shit) and I was wandering if I got the r9 390 if it would work will the hd5800.

Now here's the problem, I have a pre built pc from around 7 years ago 2009 or 2008 and they stopped making these in 2010 I think. And basically I want to upgrade my ram as in my other threads ,that was a problem. But now I want to know if I can use both these gpu's at the same time heres a picture of the motherboard from the manual http://imgur.com/bwtQal0 as showed here It displays a lot of gpu ports. Soo I'm wandering if from that time when this motherboard was created If I could actually have both these gpu's running.

Im going to check today my psu watage but the manual states 750w-1000w psu

Thank everybody,kyle

Hi, what make and model is the motherboard? Can't really tell if it supports Crossfire based on just this picture. I think you'd be better off just going with a single GPU because I don't see the HD5800 adding much performance to your games as the R9 390 is well suited for 1080p at 60FPS or higher.

Sorry for the late reply. The R9 390 would be a better card to choose. If it was R9 390 vs GTX 980 then I'd say the 980.
