Hello,,,

Windows 7 64 bit
GPU: MSI R9 290X 4GD5
I had an update a couple of weeks ago, recommended by the software "Raptr" for AMD.
After installing, I try to open the Control Panel and it doesnt open. The icon on the side bar shows up but when i hover it with my cursor it disappears..
Being paranoid I wanted everything to be perfect to I downloaded the new version from MSI's original website.
I used the Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode, restarted and im back to safe mode now. While trying to install I get the error: Detection driver error contact AMD for support.

Now I tried many different installers from AMD and MSI's websites.. I seem to get this error everytime..

I cant install any of them now and im stuck in safe mode..

please help me, ill be glad to offer more information if needed! By the way I might have installed the wrong drivers because its confusing with having so many versions on the market named 290 series and stuff.. AMD / MSI/ Lighting stuff too..

EDIT: By the way i used a Catalyst thingy then I installed the Chrimson Radeon thingy over it.. does that overlap or something?

Solution
The amd driver are for all R9 290X. Brand doesn't matter as they all use the same gpu chip. I would use the AMD Crimson driver 15.12 update as that is the latest. The one on the MSI website are typically outdated.

I would uninstall Raptr and the current AMD drivers you have now. You only want to install the Crimson driver for now. Crimson is now the main interface but it still retain the old Catalyst for the advanced functions and settings.
If you want to use Raptr, download it from their website but it may also be bundled with the driver:
