Hello everyone, recently i upgraded my pc from an i5 to an i7 and after a few days i upgraded my ram from 8 to 16gb and added an SSD for the windows besides my 1tb hdd.

I dont know why but it happens random whenever im watching something or playing or listening to something to get a sound loop of 0.5 sec and a freeze at the same time for the same amount of time.

Tried to install windows on the HDD and i did not get such freezes.
Is it a SSD problem ? Or is it something else ? incompatibility issues ?
I tried to check the SSD with HDTune and found nothing on it.

Hey there, Zeroboss.

This could be caused by a faulty memory module as well as by a faulty drive, SATA cable or port. I'd suggest that you check and make sure that all of the new components have been properly connected to the cables and/or the motherboard, to rule out a loose connection. Where's the location of the content that you're listening to or watching? If it's the HDD, then you should test it as well, just to be on the safe side. A backup of your most important data, before the tests is also advisable, just in case.
I'd recommend that you check if there's an available update for the SSD's firmware and if there's one, I'd suggest that you go ahead and install it, to see if that fixes the issue. Other than that, you could try the...

I'd recommend that you check if there's an available update for the SSD's firmware and if there's one, I'd suggest that you go ahead and install it, to see if that fixes the issue. Other than that, you could try the SSD with a different SATA port and cables, or even better - a different computer. The same goes for the HDD as well, until you figure out what could be causing the problem. It's not uncommon for a problematic drive to cause issues with the whole system, so even if you don't get such problems while Windows is installed on the HDD, that doesn't mean, the drive itself is perfectly fine. Hopefully it turns out to be a cable or a loose connection.
You should also run some diagnostic tests on your memory, to see if there's anything out of the ordinary.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.

120gb patriot
and z97x game plus.

Right now i did a fresh install on it and use it till i get that loop.
If i get that loop that means i will switch to the HDD, do the same thing. if i dont get it on the hdd that means there is something with the ssd, verified all the cables and changed them as well(for hdd/sdd) and switched ports.
I also tested different ram before i reinstalled my pc, still had the same problem, so ram is excluded so far.(that 8gb i had before was in memtest for 12 hours with no problems)

Your ssd and motherboard should be okay.

I noticed your motherboard has a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi MB3 gaming audio suite.

Any chance you have a Nvidia graphics card? Did you install the entire Nvidia graphics suite including audio that was on an installation disc? There may be a conflict with two different sound drivers.
