Hey,

I've just reinstalled Windows 8 because I got fed up with Windows 10 and its highly HDD consuming "System and compressed memory" application.

It works fine but there's one problem: Once the computer goest to sleep it wakes up 1 minute right after it. I looked at the event viewer, in some case it showed that the source was unknown, but mostly it was 2 things:
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Intel USB 3.0 extensible Host Controller

In the device manager I could disable the Realtek one to wake the PC, but at the Intel I have no such option. It uses its Microsoft driver, but I couldn't find intel driver for it, it only exists for Windows 7. How could I disable it?

Solution
In advanced power settings, turn off "selective suspend" under USB settings. Also try disallowing your mouse to wake the computer in device manager the same way that you did for the Realtek controller.

I actually had those kinds of problems with W10 that I'd never had with 7. Those two fixed it for me.
