Hey, I was wondering if a i7-4770 non-k version is good enough for the msi GTX 970 *overclocked* to run at it's full potentional? I was wondering this because I get a consistent 120-140fps on COD Black Ops 3 on all high settings and I know hardcore FPS games rely on the graphics cards MUCH more than the CPUs comparing to MOBA or MMORPGS. Where as on a game like TERA i get 40-50 fps on high settings while having constant small lag spikes, and on Borderlands 2 when I'm running around 60-90, but right when I get into a fight It drops to 20-30fps high settings. I know TERA is a pretty demanding game but for a overclocked gtx 970, i dont think it should get 40-50 with constant small lag spikes. And Borderlands 2, cmon now. cmon now. So I was just wondering if my CPU might be prohibiting my GPU in any way? Thanks for reading, and also, GPU temps are 60-63*c consistent. Don't know about the CPUs though.
