How to prevent a program from seeing the status of internet

Hey, so I have this program and I want it to see that my internet is offline/not connected even though it's on.

I've tried firewall but that just prevents the program from accessing the internet.

Is there any other way to do the above?

Unless you have the source code (or want to WADE though tracing the executable) there is no way to know HOW it is determining that you have internet so there is no way to prevent it.
