Hello,

specs:

Motherboard: MSI B85M-E45
Ram: 32gb (4 x 8gb)
CPU: Intel i7 4700
HD: 250GB Samsung SSD
PSU: Corsair 750m

So, my computer was working absolutely fine, I had a spare SSD drive that wasnt being used, it had nothing on it (Well i thought so) so i removed it from my pc and placed it in another PC. The problem occured when i tried to boot up this PC again as it said please select a proper boot device, I selected the SSD that had the operating system (windows 7) still installed and made sure it was set to boot priority, no luck, still had the same message. After researching this problem it appears the second hard drive that I thought had nothing on it could have had a "system reserved" folder on it which is why it is failing to load up...

Another suggestion was to update my BIOS and see what happens. I flash updated my BIOS and this has made things 10x worse. After the update had finished, my PC now does not display anything on the screen, it is just black as if there is no output at all. Also, my power button LED light is not displaying either. The CPU fan and case fans are spinning so there is power to my machine, but nothing is displaying. I have tried unplugging my GPU and just plugging my monitor in to the motherboards own integrated graphics but still no luck

I understand you can use jumpers to reset the CMOS too, I have no jumper on my motherboard or at hand which is why I removed the battery.

I have now attempted to reset the CMOS by removing the battery, i removed it for around 10-15 minutes before putting it back in again, and still, no luck. So now this is why I am posting here as I am out of luck as to why my PC is not booting up and displaying anything on the screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am not too bothered if I need to re-install windows on my PC again, my main worry is not being able to display BIOS settings.

Thanks
