Suggestions for good co-op games?

Me and my friend are looking for something new to play. He said 'something like Trine but 3d, where you have some abilities and explore and work together'.

Any suggestions?

Gonna try Borderlands 2 and Battleblock since they're cheap. We've done Portal. He mentioned Divinity but idk how I like those top down styled games.
