I have been testings my internet speeds on a lot of different speed tests online. My ISP tell me I'm getting 300-350 mbps and 20-25 mbps. All the speed tests I have been using tell me I'm getting around around those rates but when I download games it's taking much lower rates like around 100-200mbps. There will be spikes when I download, beginnings will start at full speed (300-350mbps) then it drop off and slow down. If anyone can help me, please reply and if anyone need anymore information please ask.

Here is one of my test.

PS: I'm using LAN not wireless. I'm not using a router. My cable is connected to my modem.

You mean where I'm downloading games from? I'm downloading from Steam, Nexon.com, Tera.enmasse.com to name a few to test my speeds.

It's so weird and I don't know what test should I trust. The testmy.net tests are not constant though. So, I don't know.
Anyone know what other tests I can use.

Yes I have, I tried different region further away from me also. Don't work. Same slow download speed. I use to download up to 40MB/s but now I'm only able to download up to maybe 22MB/s but it drops to like 11 and jump up and down from there.

I understand that is pretty good speed but I'm paying for it and I would like to get what I'm paying you know? Lol, but I tried downloading on another pc and I get full speed on it. I don't really know what's going on. I tried switching Ethernet cable and that don't work, the other pc download in full speed on both cable but the main pc is downloading slow. I'm not sure what I can do or trace the problem.

or it could be an issue with your home network. if you are using a wireless connection you will never get the max speeds because of the limitations of wireless internet. if you are using wireless then it may be your using the wrong type of ethernet cable. if you are wired with CAT5 that could be why. to get the most you would need to be using CAT 6 cable or at least CAT 5c. also the modem they provided you with may not be capable of getting the kinds of speeds you are paying for too.

I'm not using wireless connection. Ethernet cable are CAT 6 cables. I'm going to try to have them replace the modem later next week but I don't think it's the modem because my other pc runs at full speed.

Noob question. How would I transfer the file? Like downloading a file? Or put a file in a usb/external hd and transfer it?

Get like a big file. Video, ISO, anything like 1GB or bigger (The bigger the better) Do this on BOTH PC's

Make sure sharing without a password is enabled. To do so right click on networking Icon next to clock --> Networking and Sharing Center --> Change advanced sharing settings on left side -->

Make sure they are both on Private Network and not public. To change it look it up on google. Make sure under private Network Discovery, File and printer sharing and turned on then under All Networks (Will have to click arrow to the right of it to expand it) that Password Protected Sharing is turned OFF.

Once that is done go to the C drive, make a new folder. just call it share or whatever you want. Right click on it and go to properties. On the security tab click on edit and then Add the user Everyone and give them full permissions. Then ok out of that. Then go to the sharing tab, click on Advanced Sharing, check the box to share this folder then click on permissions and give Everyone full control.

Once that is done on both PC's copy a Big file on there (Could just be from ONE PC Don't need the big file on both)

Then find out what the computer name is of both PCs. For Exampled I will just do PC1 and PC2. Once the file is copied on one of the PCs into the share folder go to the OTHER PC.

Lets say the file is on PC1.

So right click on the start menu and then click on Run. On run type in \\PC1 and hit enter. it SHOULD bring up a window that has that share folder. Open up that share folder and now copy it to the shared folder on your C drive. just open up C drive and copy it to that folder. See how fast it transfers.

Then go to PC 2 do the same thing. Right click on Start, then Run, then \\PC2. Open the share folder and copy it to anywhere on your C drive. See how fast it goes. The SSD's though be faster than what your network can handle so it should max out the network. I know when i do SSD to SSD on my network which is all gigabit i get 90+MB a second
