This week I realized that whenever I open my computer, my GPU fan(s) spin at 100% until my desktop fully loads and the MSI gaming app opens. My gpu model is an msi gaming 290x 4gb, with the latest stable crimson drivers. I have an asus z97-pro with windows 10 64 bit. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, taking my gpu out of my case and putting it back in, so I don't know what else could be the problem. Any help is appreciated.

I too had this problem and it was doing this because of bad settings options....

What i would do is this:
1- Disable MSI Gaming App automatic open with startup
2- Reboot your pc and open all the software you have installed that could control the gpu's fans (speedfan, msi afterburner, amd crimson software...)
3- Make sure all the fan control in each application is set to auto. (maybe disable then re-enable auto just to make sure)
4- If you use speedfan, i would recommend going in Configure -> Options -> Uncheck "ISA BUS" if you don't plan on controlling your gpu's fans with that software.
5- Then check if your gpu's fan stay at the "normal" speed.
6- Reboot and tell me if it fixed the issue.

Edit: Maybe also check if you have any bios settings that could be causing that, but i highly doubt it...
