I'm asking because I would like to put my gpu in perhaps the second slot without sacrificing performance if at all possible. I want to do this so I can put my sound card above my gpu to try and hopefully solve this potential emi problem I have been having with my audio (when the mic is on). I could technically squeeze my sound card (Xonar Essence STX) above my gpu already using the smaller slot above the first PCIx16 slot, but then they would be touching and that would drive me bananas.
