Best Intel SSD around 500GB

Hello

i was looking at a samsung ssd,until i read about warranty issues, and am now looking for an intel ssd that has around 500GB of storage, and am wondering what one to get and what one is recommended the most in this area.

i will be using the MSI Z97 XPOWER AC LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard, and plan to use this ssd for windows 10

Sandisk has better reliability over time than the EVO drives, according to several testing sources, which have shown even the 850 EVO to have some drops in performance over time, has nearly identical speeds, faster in some cases, and has good support. Intel is good as well. I'd go with one of these three drives.

so the intel will work with my mb's SATA 1?

Yes, and will have the added benefit of being faster if/when you upgrade to a motherboard with SATA II or III. All revisions of SATA I, II and III are backwards and forwards compatible, but are limited by the standard on your board. So a SATA III drive will still be limited to SATA I speeds, but should work with the standard as long as there are no bios issues. I'd also see if there are any bios updates for your motherboard and install the latest one if there are.

All Z97 boards support SATA III. You'll have no issues with any current drive on the market.

It says "SATA 6GB/s" that's the speed of the port, SATA III has a speed of 6GBs, while SATA II has a speed of 3GBs.
It's more "impressive" and maybe less confusing to say SATA 6GBs than SATA III
