just installed my pc, and the stock fans that came with the h110i gt were really loud. I swapped them out for af140's and they were still loud. Is there a reason why there are running at 2300 rpm all the time even on idle? I overclocked my cpu ( i5-6600k) to 4.8 at 1.385 volts . Is this why ?

My motherboard is an asus-z170-deluxe. I tried changing speed in bios, asus ai, and corsair link. Nothing seems to be able to bring the noise down. I unplugged the rad fans and the the noise stopped.

It cant be as simple as buying new fans is it? Is it a software issue? how can i lower rpm on my rad fans??

so i found out corsair link only works when i have the mini usb plugged .

I can control the speeds, but for some reason the fans on my radiators seem to be running at full load even at idle. its making this whining noise that i cant stop..

I tried ai suite, corsair link, and even qfan control in my z170-deluxe bios.

any tips ? My next plan is just to get noctua silent fans and hopefully that works? lol..
