I have assembled a new computer that isnt giving me a video display.
Internal part:
AMD Athlon X4 860k 3.7GHz
GA-F2A78M-D3H motherboard
Kingston HyperXfury Ram (16GB)
Samsung 850 EVO-series SSD
GTX 750 Ti (2GB) video card
430W power suppy
Asus Xonar DG audio card
I ran through the checklist before that i have found on this site. When i did there was a issue with my RAM. Beep codes suggested bad RAM, so i returned them and received a replacement.
As of now the computer turns on and i get a POST but i have no video display. My monitor does work i have tried other devices (xbox, dvd player) with it and everything works fine. What i do find interesting is that when the monitor is on but not connected to tower i get a "check signal cable" display but as soon as i plug the VGA cable into the tower the screen goes black (as if i shut it off, but i have a flashing blue light) and this is regardless if the tower is on or even plugged in. I should say that the monitor only has a VGA connection so i would need adapter for anything else. The motherboard as VGA, DVI and HDMI connectors, i have a adapter for HDMI and when i try that the screen remain at the "check signal cable" screen. I dont have a DVI adapter but i could pick one up. Is there something that i missed? Im at a loss as to what i should do next...
