Hi
I recently bought a 50' HDMI cable to hook my gaming computer up to my TV. I also bought a USB Hub and USB hub extender so I could hook some wired controllers up by my couch. Parts below:
Active USB 3.0 Hub - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TPMEOYM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
Active (??) USB 2.0 extender/repeater 25ft - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FFKIUJS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
I also have two wired Xbox 360 controllers hooked to the USB hub. The controllers are name brand from Microsoft.
I've been having problems with the controllers disconnecting while we are playing games. Both controllers would randomly disconnect and reconnect a second later (always both at the same time). This would happen anywhere from once every couple minutes to 4-5 times a minute. Obviously this is a problem for gaming, especially since I want to add two more controllers to the mix.
Another weird thing: it seems the disconnection was contextual sometimes. While I haven't had this problem over multiple sessions, there was one time the controller would disconnect every time we hit the 'x' button. Weird.
After some troubleshooting, I deduced the problem was not the hub. We plugged the hub straight into the computer and the controllers into the hub and it worked fine. Plugging a controller straight into the usb extender seemed to help some, but the usb extender would still sometimes lose connectivity (although less frequently). I also tried the usb hub with a much shorter usb extender (it's actually two 5 footers chained together) and it seemed to work fine with no hiccups.
From my tests, I think this probably means the usb extender is what needs replacing. My question is, what should I replace it with? Or does this sound like a faulty cable and I should look into getting a replacement. I don't want to get another one of the same thing and have the same problem. I do need the cord to be about 20 feet long. Here are some other products on Amazon. Do you think any of these would work better?

Thanks for the help!
