Hi,
(Rig in signature)
Been using my Acer XB270HU for awhile with no problems, I have it set to G-sync in 'Manage 3d Settings', and have Vertical Sync on (as I have don for with no issues).
-edit_ Driver Version 358.87 on Windows 10 home 64bit
When I play a game, I switch off V-sync in the game options. I play a lot of War Thunder and until yesterday it's been fine. Today it looked a bit choppy and the refresh rate was showing 135fps, I quit and checked Nvidia Control panel and it showed 'Resolution 2560 x 1440 120hz'. I click the Refresh Rate drop down box and can choose 144hz, Then i click 'Apply'. But when I go back in it has reset to 120hz. I think the game is drawing 135fps (it changed up and down a few fps during gameplay) but it is choppy as the monitor is only going to 120hz.
My secondary Monitor (Iiyama ProLite E2607WS) is a 60hz monitor and is set as that as always)
Have rebooted and same thing happens. What is happening? Why won't it lock to 144hz?
