I have a Sharp Aquos TV. Both the remote that came with it and the cable remote that came with the cable box will NOT control the volume. I have to use the volume control on the tv itself to control to volume level. Is something wrong with the tv itself? Help.

Well at least check the batteries in the remotes. Especially if the batteries were supplied.

Swap out the batteries for a known working battery from a reliable brand.

With good batteries you can check out all functions (channel, zoom, etc.) and if all work but the volume then you may have a defective TV.

Check Sharp's website FAQs and forums. You may find some suggestions there or perhaps some confirmation that there is a problem.
