Hello

QVL DDR4 list of my motherboard mentions certain compatible corsair lpx memory as "ver 4.29(XMP)".

The memory I have brought online is "ver 3.20".

What's the difference between these versions?

Does it matter?

Thanks,

Stick versions are changed for a variety of reasons, they might change the Memory ICs (chips) they are using, might change the SPD info, can even be for a change in PCB. Generally if one version will work with your mobo/CPU combo then other versions would also

thanks Tradesman1. I've reached corsair via a tech query and they don't have the differences between the versions (!!). While exact diff will continue to remain a mystery :) based on what you mentioned, at least i expect to work without issues...
