i've looked at all the other posts about this and i have tried them they still don't work. I dont know whats going on, i tried looking for it a few months ago, and i never found it. Now i was randomly trying to free space on my first HD and it showed my second one with 945 gig out of 945 gig of free space. i just stopped and was like it just randomly appears out of no where I renamed the Hard Drive and tried to format it, the format failed and now i cant find it at all anymore. Im even trying to do what i was doing to my first HD to see if it will show it self again, but it wont show!

Solution

Well, your second drive (1TB) has gone missing. If the cables are actually fully connected...then it would appear to be completely broken.
Or the SATA port on the motherboard is faulty. Try a different port.

When i look in my disk management i have 3 Volumes
My current HD C 931.41 GB capacity 76.24 GB free space left
Disk1 D 7.95 GB of capacity 0 free space left.
System Reserved 100MB capacity and 72 MB used

Disk management is pointless because it doesn't show up there, so it's not the problem, check the cables and check the bios. How do you even know it's a working hard drive?
Volumes aren't disks.
The window at the bottom will show you the actual hard drives, Disk0,Disk1,CD-Rom0,ect

The cables are connected properly i know the hard drive works because i've used it before this was months ago, i then re-formatted one of the hard drives but never bothered with the second one. Im just trying to find out why it decided to show up a hour ago and then disappear. I can't find it again i even renamed it before i attempted to format it.

Power off the computer, unplug and replug the cables. Also check the BIOS, does it see the hard drive?
