first my specs"

fx 8350 4.0 Ghz
16GB corsair vengeance RAM 2x8
MSI 970 mobo
R9 290 4GB
samsung 250gb SSD
Seagate 500gb HDD
Windows 10 Pro x64

I was gaming last night, both monitors were working fine, shut down my computer for the night and when I start it up this morning my 2nd monitor is no longer working.

I tried a 2nd HDMI cable but still nothing. It seems that it is not being detected by either AMD Catalyst or windows itself, however all my settings on AMD Catalyst have been reset, which led me to think that there was a broken update overnight so I did a "roll back" on the drivers, unfortunately to no success

When I boot up my computer though, my motherboard logo and the windows 10 logo will show up on the non working monitor

Any help would be very appreciated, if you need any more info please leave a comment, Thanks in advance!

Update: I just used Guru3D to wipe my display drivers, and reinstalled using AMD's auto detect, both monitors we working up until the install of the drivers finished, then my 2nd monitor stopped working

I used AMD's auto detect to reinstall the drivers, so I would imagine that its the latest driver. Also like I said, the monitor was working fine last night, then all of a sudden this morning it's not working.

When I plug it in by itself it still gets no signal, I'm afraid I might have to rma the card but want to exhaust all other options first. It's just so weird that it would die while it's powered down for the night lol

My main monitor has dvi and vga port while my 2nd monitor has 2 hdmi and vga ports. Unfortunately I don't have a dvi to vga adaptor so I can't test it like that.

I will have to disconnect my computer and bring it out to the living room tv to test it on a different hdmi screen, will update you after I try that

I tested the monitor on a different computer that has a r7 370 in it and it works just fine. So it has to be something wrong with the card or drivers I think

It's hard to tell, my 2 monitors are exactly the same except for the ports. However I did just test my computer on another hdmi screen and again it shows the mobo logo and Windows logo then goes to the no signal screen

I can say that Windows is only detecting 1 monitor in both the resolution settings and device manager
