Hey guys, I picked up an EVGA 980 TI Classified from Microcenter for $659.99... After I bought it the employee i was dealing with walked up like you picked the EVGA and not the asus strix?! The asus strix is the fastest and also has the best cooler!

After looking it up when I got home, which I did research before but forgot.. It does indeed overclock GREAT and seems to cool well, before I set a fan curve my classified was hitting 76-79c on GTA5/ BF4...

What's your opinions? The Asus strix is the exact same price let me know!

I'm probably biased since its been quite awhile since ive used a Asus GPU but for Nvidia GPU's EVGA is my go-to company. The cards seem to overclock quite well and temps are always within safe temps even with SLI. Also there customer service is excellent and has helped me solve issues (24/7 US). Those temps are well below the maximum (92C).

*I have noticed that the stock fan curves really aren't enough to cool the cards in most cases so I typically set my cards to "aggressive" setting in EVGA Precision X16.*

They are very similar you really can't go wrong with either one. the gygabyte G1, MSI Gaming, Asus Strix, and EVGA classified are all pretty much the same ( some are slightly quieter or slightly cooler but all overclock very close to the same)
