PC reboots during games

My gaming pc running windows 10 reboots during games. This always happens when the cpu temp is above 100F and after I've been in a game for a few minutes. I also did a stress test on the cpu with prime95 and the computer shut down without a reboot at 115F.

Is this definitely an overheating issue with the cpu?
I disabled the reboot setting in the control panel, but that didn't seem to have any effect.

So far I've only played Mincraft and Skyrim and it happens on both. Its doesn't effect the frame-rate at all.
These reboots started happening after i upgraded my cpu:

Specs:
CPU: AMD FX 8-core 8350 4.0 GHz 16MB Total Cache
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970a-d3 am3+
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6800
2x 4GB DDR3 RAM
DVD CD RW Drive
1TB HDD
50GB HDD

I've cleaned the inside for the most part.
Let me know if you need anymore information.
If anyone has any clue as to what I should do please let me know!
Thanks

It's possible that the psu isn't big enough, enter your complete pc parts into this. http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

Also if you have overclocked at all make sure your cpu is at stock.

Alright I plugged everything in and it says I should need about 400 watts, but my existing power supply is 500 watts. Also my GPU is not overclocked. I even tried unplugging the cd drive to check if the error would still occur with more power given, but the reboot error is still here. Any other ideas?

It recommends one from amazon with 600 watts which is 100 watts above my current one. However, the Load Wattage is 349
and the Recommended PSU Wattage is 399 W. Should I upgrade to at least 600 watts then?

Yes that would be what I would do. Is your current PSU 80+ certified? Also try not to stress you pc anymore until you upgrade.

Before the shutdown all 8 cores are at 100%, and the thermal margins of the cores are at about 25 Celsius. I stopped the stress test just before the shutdown to avoid any problems. As for the version of motherboard mine matches the rev 1.0 not 3

Sorry for the long time between replies. Updated the bios and my game lasted a little longer but crashed in a few minutes so that didn't work. As for the frequencies, all the cores are at 4027 MHz with thermal margins of 17.5 Celsius. This time I waited for the shutdown to happen to get accurate results. I am using the AMD FX Stock Cooler.
