At first my PSU was doing some weird noises (Seasonic 620w). I found out that it was a common problem and Im working with them in order to get it replaced. Sometimes my video driver crashes and gets rebooted (only the video driver). At first I tought it was because of lack of feeding, its know to be power hungry, its a R290X overclocked. I ordered a CoolerMaster G700 (700w, 80plus) and it arrived today. I changed the PSUs and the pc works normally for a few minutes and then it turns off, after a few seconds it reboots. And that keep happening. If I remove the VGA and use the onboard video the pc works just fine, no reboots.

Now I dont know if I have a problem with the VGA, a problem with 2 PSUs, a problem with the motherboard or what else. Im trying to figure it out in order to fix the problematic part.

Can you guys help me to isolate the cause of the problem? Ask me whatever you want to know, and let me to know if theres some programs to monitorate the parts to look for problems.

Actually, im using the GPU Z in order to keep an eye on the monitors and everything seems ok.

Heres the screenshot of it while Im running the furmark vga stressing test (I manually set the fan speed to 100% just to be sure the gpu will be as fresh as possible):

The GPUz sensors values looks the same when using the CoolerMaster 700w, untill the pc suddenly turns off and reboots.

think this maybe a heat issue shutdown on the graphic card although its reporting only 74 deg as when your using the onboard graphics its ok. To prove if that's the case try this get a air blower of some sort that will blow cold air such as a air dryer with the case open aim the air blower at the component side of the graphic card and run the pc and see if it shuts down. If it doesn't then you need to install extra fan that will blow air in the direction of the graphic card.

The system:
i5 2500K
2x4gb ddr 1600mhz (gskill)
2 HDD 250GB 7200rpm sATA
Radeon R290X Overclocked Power Color

No overclocks at all, everything is running at their default values (the VGA is overclocked by default)

The screenshot is from the R290X , not the onboard video. The problems occurs even when the pc is doing nothing but running a youtube video. It also occurs while the VGA is underclocked, and at any temperatures (it was around 40ºC the last time I checked with the new PSU, some 3 minutes before the pc turned off).

My case is open and my room's temperature is set at 25ºC. The VGA have 3 big fans cooling it. I guess its ok running at 70ºC, but as I said earlier the problems happens independently from the temperature of the GPU.

If that reflects the 12v + from the PSU, that is within spec (barely). Since the problem persists after 2 PSU's and the OBG works, I would suspect the video card. Can you test it in another computer? One other thing would be to run Driver Sweeper and uninstall the old driver and reinstall it to rule out a a driver issue and then run memtest to rule out problems with your RAM.

Nobody over here have a pc decent enough to run with that VGA. Everybody here uses generic PSUs. I could to try and test the PSU thats turning off and my vga on a friends, but that would to leave me with the same doubt I have now.

Couldnt it be the motherboard not able to feed the VGA aswell? I guess the mobo feeds the VGA by the PCI-E slot aswell, right? Any way to check that looking at the sensors?

Its aways the queckets method, and my problem is that I dont have how to do that. Thats why Im checking with you guys for ways to find out the problem by checking the info I have. Im still trying to find somebody with a decent pc or at least a decent PSU in order to do more testing, but its unlikely to happen.
