I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card, but from what I've been told my CPU is somewhat of a bottleneck. Is there any descent upgrade to be done with my current build, or should I start by upgrading my CPU?

My current rig:

Processor: AMD Athlon X4 760K @ 3.80 GHz
Motherboard: MSI A78M-E45
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600
Graphics Card: Gigabyte GT 740 2GB GDDR5
Power Supply: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W Plus Bronze
Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01

I was looking at a GTX 970 at first but was told it wasn't worth with my current CPU. If there is any card worth getting that would be a descent upgrade from my GT 740 but still alright with the rest of my setup, please let me know. Otherwise, please inform me on a good CPU upgrade.

Thanks! Any response is appreciated.

I would upgrade to an i5 (like the i5 4690k) if you are getting a nicer gpu (970). The 760k will bottleneck alot of newer cards.
You could also get an amd fx if you don't want to upgrade your mobo.
