I put together a rig from parts after other projects:

Mb: asus a8n32 sli deluxe (decent, but dead end socket 939)
Cpu: athlon 64 x2 4400+ 2.2ghz
4gb ram
Gpu: nvidia 6600gt
Psu: silverstone 300w (not well known, but quality fanless psu..)
Hdd 250gb, (Also struggling to poke in a small ssd i got cheap for the os, so far a no go cos i cannot get the ghost software to recognize it.. and i got it cheap cos it turns out to be only 3gbps which makes me wonder if it would make any difference anyway)
Win 7pro

The rig will be used for general purposes, web, media play, and some (obviously very light) gaming.

To the questions:
1. I would like to get the best low power gpu that cpu will not bottleneck. Would it be something like gt210 or such?
Worth mentioning - i got a cheap gtx750 1gb, would that be an overkill? Or could cpu match it after some oc-ing, with higher psu of course, but this alternative sounds not worth the fuss..
Or should i simply leave in the 6600gt? Havent tried it with games, but it could chew through a 1080p movie without breaking a sweat..

2. Have another project with i5 3570 cpu - would that be a good match with gtx750 or could it handle more powerfull gpus?

Thanx in advance for serious answers..

Solution
The I5-3570 will handle all the way up to a gtx 980 but is ideal for a gtx 970. Dont put a 750 with an I5 thats a waste

For the Athlon 64x2 it will bottleneck just about anything this day an age. Maybe a gtx 9800GT or Radeon 4850 would be ok. Your 750 1gb will be bottle necked. I have a 750 non Ti in a cheap budget build with a core2quad OC and it only uses 80-90% max gpu with that processor

Thanks for the answer, guys. I think i'll stick the gtx750 in this rig, seen some clips of it doing a decent job with 4400+. Besides i do have it home already, dont really feel like chasing one more gpu, i think i can live with some bottlenecking, and i might just sell the rig too...
