Vga to hdmi adapter

So i just changed to a 390 wich only has a hdmi and dvi-d, but my monitor is vga. What is the best solution in terms of adapter without losing any calrity and cobsistancy in graphics?

You need to get a new monitor - period. You can buy adapters but save that and put it towards a monitor.

home work at first on that -- you need a active adaptor [about 20-30 bucks] vga =analog - hdmi = digital -- reason why I went to NVidia all there cards still have dvi-I where AMD higher end cards do not NVidia just needs a simple in the box 4 buck one ..

or a new monitor ? [I still use old crt]

You can get active adapters for around $8 on amazon or ebay those work pretty well I've used a couple and the works perfectly fine even for gaming, most ppl will be satisfied with one, if your not totally happy with image quality save up till you can buy a new monitor. $8 is well worth it if it meets your needs and will definitely hold you over till you can afford a new monitor

thing is I really cant say how well they work if at all -- you may go to your local good will store and pick up a nice 19'' monitor for cheap [rich folks can turn in some nice stuff and lots of office upgrading ones that they turned in ] I picked up 2 like that - just let them show you they work

Goodwill and Craigslist is a good place to find a nice cheap monitor. Avoid startech though they just rebadge the same parts you can buy off ebay and amazon for a few dollars then mark them up 1000%

just used as a example .. the rest is on him -

lots of monitors at the thrift stores just got to go look to see if something catches your eye and fits your needs just if they can guarantee it works in store I don't fool with it [ how hard is it to hook one up on there computer ? or a 30 day on the sale slip ? ]

Im actually a little bit shocked the card didn't come with a DVI-D to Female VGA, I've bough a dozen cards over the past 3 years and they all came with a DVI-d to Female VGA like this

don't work dvi-d don't support analog as like dvi-I will reasons why AMD here is on the outs and NVidia is back in
