Hello guys, let's just go straight:

My Spec:

  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (Stock, I've been trying to OC it, never works)
    Motherboard: Gygabite GA-P41T-D3P
    GPU: AMD HD 7730
RAM: Kingston something, I'm not sure, 2x2Gigs DDR3 supposed to run at 1033MHz but only run at 800Mhz on my Motherboard.
    HDD: Seagate ST3500320NS, 7200RPM 465GB SATA II 3.0Gb/s
HDD: WD Green WD20EARX-008FB0, this HDD is SATA III but my motherboard only support SATA II so yeah, 1863GB
I mainly use this PC to play games, and my assignment as a student...
Games I play: Skyrim , Fallout 4 , Dota2 , some Final Fantasy and JRPGs...

so... should I upgrade? and btw my budget is very limited as I am still a students...

PS. I've been wanting to upgrade to i3-4170

Solution
hello... I had one of those years ago... Ya the OC sucks on S775 CPU's... it was a SAD fact.
I think if you look you might have DDR2? Please look again please... otherwise you might be able to re-use the DDR3 memory in a new/used MB and CPU.

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Pentium+G3258+%40+3.20GHz&id=2267

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i3-4130+%40+3.40GHz&id=2015

the above is current price NEW Intel Cpu's.... you could double performance at $70 CPU

Can you E bay and willing to buy used?

Hello and thank you for a quick response, yea I'm very sure it's DDR3, speccy says so, so does my motherboard. It just run on a very low frequency which is kinda suck sometimes...

G3258 doesn't seem very promising to me, it still run on 2 cores (well i3 is 2 core too but hyper-threaded, i kind of prefer the i3s), also I'm not very interested in overclocking anymore, I accidentally broke my aftermarket cooler the first time I'm trying to tinker with my pc.
between i3-4130 and i3-4170 which is more promising in your opinion?
for the i3-4130 is about $25~$30 cheaper than the i3-4170 in my country
e-bay seems not working in my country, there a site but i cannot access it.

can you recommend a decent MB for me? :D
I just need a single PCI-e and a Wireles connection or a PCI slot for my wireless card...

Hello... OOOHHHH the PCI card could be the bummer... that went out with most the haswell MB's...
What are your shopping lanes /web pages .... Give me Links....and i'll find ya one... Wireless is better and cheaper than what ya got now? think about your needs here... I;m not a wireless guy. B/ but it will narrow our search real fast for option in your area.

My wireless card is Qualcomm Atheros AR9285, it does well...
as for my shopping site it needs to be from my country because of government regulation, if you don't mind though:
http://www.bhinneka.com , http://www.tokopedia.com , http://www.lazada.co.id , I usually shop at that site... :D

i think it's ATX, it's the same size as the one you recommend, i found both of them very interesting, although it's kind of fall out of my budget, how do you think about this one?
http://www.bhinneka.com/products/sku01713653/asus_motherboard_socket_lga1150__h81m-e_.aspx
I find this one cheaper and seems identical to the GA-P81-D3

Hello... You can put a ATX or mATX in a ATX case... Yes you have a ATX MB now... with both PCIe and PCI slots, which slot is it plugged into? http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3727#ov

That board you suggested doesn't have a PCI slot... it has a PCIe slot. B/

Are you sure you have a PCI wireless card? and Not a PCIe card?... give me website to identify/tell?

Gigabyte is a good brand I use them... and seem to have a lot options... https://www.tokopedia.com/catalog/43168/gigabyte-ga-b85m-hd3 it has great RealTek audio and lan chips... Good looking black - 2 Ram stick MB... price right?

My mistake it is PCIe x1 :D
Thank you very much, that last recommendation seems very promising and interesting, I'll but an i3-4130 coupled with that motherboard once my money is ready, thanks :D
