I have posted several different threads which all revolve around this same issue. I have several large external HDD's (ranging from 2TB-4TB), all of which are Fantom Drives. They consistently 'eject' themselves from my computer in the middle of a large transfer at random times. They are all in exFAT format (I use Windows & OSX), with a file allocation size of 1024 KB (needs to be 1024 KB or smaller in order to show up on OSX).

It seems the only drives that disconnect are the 4TB ones - the 2TB hard drives I use have no issues.

In Windows 10, I am given this error: 'Error: 0x80070079: The semaphore timeout period has expired. With OSX it simply says it could not find the file and gives me an 'error 36'. In other words I have this issue when using both OS's. I would like to note that all of these HDD's are brand new and I have 3 of them, so I am highly doubtful it is all of the drives that have hardware issues.
