Hi,
I have a Lenovo Z50-70 laptop that's not even one year old yet, and the number keys on the top row and in the numlock pad area stopped working all of a sudden.
Everything was working fine until yesterday when I tried to enter my password to get onto my computer and it wouldn't let me enter the whole password, it would only let me type in part of the password but not any numbers. Finally after a lot of trying I was able to type in the whole password using the onscreen keyboard. Now no number keys work on my keyboard and it's not letting me type in any of the symbols/special characters that are above the numbers either.
Also the screen brightness control keys on the keyboard don't work at all either.
What can I do to fix these problems so I can type regularly again without having to use the on screen keyboard all the time?
I am not a super-tech-savvy user, however I read a lot of other articles and I tried changing the language and keyboard settings, I tried to see if the driver needed to be updated but it said it was already up to date, I tried holding down the ctrl alt and fn keys for a while as was suggested in another article, but none of those things helped at all.
Please help me to fix this problem, I never had this happen to me ever before.
I really appreciate your time and consideration, and thank you very much.
