Hello all - I'm sorry if this question has been answered before but I couldn't quite find an answer
I have a duel fan graphic card and one of the fans stopped working
I already ordered replacement fans but they wont be until end of january.
I was wondering, if I only do low demand tasks like browsing browsing and word and stuff like that, is running it on only one fan safe? or will it still being at risk of overheating
if it makes a difference, the fan that's broken isn't the one that's sitting directly on top of the cpu

thanks all

Solution
Most GPUs only use 10-15W when doing little more than displaying the desktop and that should be perfectly fine with only one fan. You can always use hardware monitoring software or the GPU's control panel to check what the GPU temperature is if you are worried about it.

Also, newer GPUs have thermal throttling which should make it nearly impossible to damage the GPU unless you override temperature and power limits.
