Please help!
I have had issues with vista for ages, I had the blue screen for a while and I tried to stop that. I'm pretty sure an "update" is what caused the black screen.
I have seriously tried everything that people have suggested online...
I just want to save my pictures I have on there. They're quite important to me. I know I should've back up, but I could deal with it until now... ANYTHING suggested is welcome.
It is literally just a black screen, from turning it on to when I log in (I can hear the sound) and after.

HOLD ON!!!
The screen isn't BLACK black, it's reeeeeeallllly dark but I can JUST see my screen! But how do I fix that? It's too dark to see anything.

well without some system specs its hard to help you much have you tried safe mode type f 8 while booting it could be your video card is also dying as well it could also be your power supply unit is dying as well too many it could be,s without some help from you like what are your system specs,

Well, I've pretty much just (literally at this moment) rescued my important stuff that I wanted to save onto my new laptop (I was thinking of getting a new one for a few years now anyway).
I'm pretty okay with everything now. I just wanted to know if there was a way to save my pictures (they're important to me lol).
I'm really sorry for wasting your time! But thank you for trying to help! I didn't think anyone would answer.
My laptop is quite old, so maybe that's partly to blame???
