My PC ATM is really bad, so I'm replacing some components, motherboard ( Asus from ecs ) and a new CPU and I was wondering, do I need to buy windows 7 again?

Actually, in the past, Windows had no problem to boot into totally different hardware configuration, as long as your windows was not "locked" to a certain configuration so to say. I think they probe for hardware at startup and load what is needed. My advice is to connect everything and try. If it does not boot it is just to reinstall.

+1 Have done it over a hundred times, Make sure your Win7 is up to date, if it transition itself (can take a little while (generally 10 minutes or less), then run a good registry cleaner (Wise has a free version), update the latest mobo drivers from the manufacturers website (those on the CD are often out of date) and will prob have to reactivate Win
