that is ridiculously expensive for a ancient cpu. if your willing to drop 250 on that replace your motherboard and put a new cpu in it.

What does the CPU need to be good for exactly? Gaming, Word Processing, etc.? It is a LGA775 CPU. What are you upgrading from? It may not be a significant upgrade because it's still only a Core 2 Duo CPU, which is pretty old.

I wouldn't think it would sell for a whole lot honestly. You could try your luck on Amazon Marketplace or Ebay, but I wouldn't expect to get enough to buy a new motherboard if that's what you're thinking.

get a used xeon x5677 and a used dell t3500 mobo. and one more stick of ram (the ram is in pairs of 3 for this mobo) it will be MANY times faster then even the best cpu you can put in your current setup.
