I have a ASRock 990FX Extreme3 with 8Gb(2x4)1866Hz Duel Channel Kingston HyperX DDR3 RAM installed, i just bough more of the exact same RAM, however when i install them, i get no video output.

I've read on other threads that i can remove the battery on the mother board then press the power butting to flush the CMOS is the DRAM settings (im not to sure what the CMOS are or what they do thus i'm unsure if i should do this with my motherboard). Would it be easier to change a setting in the BIOS, or is there even a setting to do so.

(if it helps im using a FX 6300 3.5GHz CPU)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Solution
Generally the voltage increases can help the sticks play, have a feeling these sets just don't want to play, never a good idea to mix sets, even of the same exact model
