Can i use two standoffs for a microatx motherboard

I'd recoomend salvageing two from that PC and putting them in this pattern:
X = Standoff
0 = Where standoff should be, but no standoff.
X 0 X
0 X X
0
0 X 0
Or even better take three:
X 0 X
X X
X 0
X 0 X
EDIT: So of course it didn't format the way I wanted it to, so im reposting with some drawings instead

Looking at the first one I mentioned it's really only practical to take three plus the two you already have like I show here (Red being where your standoffs would go).
Or just buy some and do it right they are very cheap you can buy 15 for $5 Here.
