I'll put another other option out, I'm running my 4770K at 4.6ghz 1.3Vcore on a Corsair H105, runs around 75c with reduced fan speeds. (the fans are loud at full speed). And the 4790K has better heat dissipation. Very happy with this heatsink.
The r1 is good for a 4.7 to 4.9 depeni g on the chip and case cooling. So basically either will do. But with the r1 ypu dont have to worry about a pump failing in the future, or the possibilty of a leak
