Is it possible to upgrade windows 97 build pc or i should build a new pc or should i keep some of the pc components in tat old pc for a new build?!?

as was said, dont bother with it.there is not one thing you could reuse from the old pc.everything from the hdd to the cd/dvd drive is ide ribbon cable connectors, not sata.even the fans would be of no use.it also wouldnt have enough ram to run a modern operating system and wouldnt have the capacity for enough ram to do so.just nothing to work with here.sorry.

Upgrading a win 98 PC? 99% of the parts won't be available anymore. You will have to start over, like it or not. The oldest systems considered upgradable on these forums is the LGA 775 era hardware. Anything older is a write off.

What is your budget for a new PC? What do you mainly use your PC for? And do you need any extra peripherals or software like Windows?

List of things to upgrade:
Motherboard
CPU
GPU (If there's no integrated graphics)
HDD/SDD
Case
Monitor
Cables
Power Supply
CPU Cooler (If one isn't included)
OS
Software
You can probably keep everything else.

That's basically the entire PC minus peripherals.
