Should I upgrade my h67 motherboard?

Hey,
I want to upgrade my H67 motherbaord. I have an i5 2500 CPU and want to buy a new motherboard.
In the future I want to buy a new CPU (i7) so the next motherboard should support for all CPUs.
What do you think?

It's best to buy the cpu and motherboard together in your case. New cpus use a different socket than what you have, so you can't just buy a new motherboard with latest chipset since your old cpu wont work with it.
