I installed my new motherboard and CPU today and this is my 3rd build so I am not a total noob. I've made sure the cpu is correctly lined up and installed which it is and have made sure the 4 pin connector is attached. ( I couldn't even get it out trying to troubleshoot ) I had the case power and reset wires running under the mobo but removed them as I read it could short the mobo and just put them over it .

My specs are h81m PLUS mobo
R7 370 2gb
Intel i3 4170
4x2 ddr3 ram
500w psu

When I attempt to boot the computer I get a green light on my motherboard and the light on my graphics are turns on for a second but turns off straight after. No fans turn on or no noise comes from anywhere. I really want to get my pc up and running and I hope someone can assist me im doing so. I hope you have a happy CHRISTMAS!

Took ye motherboard out and reinstalled everything again, I think it may have been one of the metal bits toscrew the motherboard into the case that was causing a shortage of some sort, anyways it's workjng now thanks anyways and merry Christmas!
