Hi
I am new to the forum and to high end gaming as well.
I have purchased a new rig few months ago:
i7 6700k with Kelvin S24 - Fractal Design cooler.
ASUS z170 deluxe motherboard
2x Gigabyte TITAN X in SLI (default asus bridge that came with motherbord)
8GB DDR4 Corsair vengance RAM 3000MHZ
Windows 8.1 64 bit on Crucial BX100 500 GB SSD
All is locked in Corsair 780t Case

The issues I have are:
1. GPU runs hot in idle (reaching 40 degrees) with normal day to day tasks - I have manually adjusted fan profiles in GURU OC and installed an additional 120mm ENERMAX fan on the HDD rack blowing directly on both GPU which allowed me to drop the temps to 30 degrees idle. The Gigabyte software needs to be switched on each time I start PC or the settings would not enable which is annoying, Any other ideas on how to make it permanent?
2. Reaching only 1580 points in UNIGINE Heaven 4.0 benchmark on 4k resolution with everything switched on DX11. It seems a bit low to me. My GTX 980 was getting close to this score.
Cards are getting hot under full load 81 Celsius and fans start spinning at 70% which is getting a bit loud.
Why is the score so low?
3. Been thinking about adding back plate - there is an EVGA that I can but for TITAN X - would this be a good idea? Would it help the temps?
4. Also been thinking about replacing stock cooler to get better temps and have it all working relatively quiet. I only have found two options -

EVGA hybrid cooler - any good? Heard pump can be loud and there were issues with power level since pump is powered from the card. Also not sure where to put the radiators in the case - one would go to the back exhaust but not sure about the other one. There is radiator on top with no more space and front panel has 2x 140mm corsairs with no room for more.

Another one I looked at was air cooling - https://www.alza.co.uk/arctic-accelero-xtreme-iv-d1182984.htm?kampan=%7Bifpla:adeupla-uk%7D%7Bifdyn:adeurmk-uk%7D&country=GB&kampan=adeu_uk-dsa_components-cooling-fans&gclid=CNT_9O-m9ckCFQHkwgodO0wI-Q
The issue is I don't know whether this would be a better solution and whether this would fit in an SLI set up. It would make the card a bit bulky.

I would appreciate all help with the above issues. I am a bit concerned that I can't fully utilize the potential of my gaming rig :(

Best regards
